Answer: d) she is a woman.

"The Wife's Lament" is one of the most famous poems in Old English. Written around the tenth century, the poem tells the story of a woman who has no love, community, or company. She tells us of her grief and her loneliness, as her husband is away. Because of her female condition, her destiny is tied to that of her husband. The exact events of her life are difficult to decipher. Nevertheless, we do know that the woman is extremely sad, and that she has led a very lonely life.

It’s D, it’s because she is a woman that she’s not allowed to pursue something different

Select the correct text in the passage.

Answer:

<em>1. "Though I have seen my head (grown slightly bald) brought in upon a platter, </em>

<em>I am no prophet—and here’s no great matter;"</em>

<em>2. "To say: “I am Lazarus, come from the dead,"</em>

Explanation:

T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is a poem that deals with the themes of alienation, isolation amidst the tortured psyche of the modern man and his 'overconfidence' life. This modernism poem is from the speaker, Alfred Prufrock's perspective, delving into his love life and his need or desire to consummate his relationship with the lover.

An allusion is one literary device that writers use to provide details in their work. It makes reference to other pieces or works in this description. And two instances of biblical allusion are found in the lines <em>"I am no prophet"</em> and <em>"To say: To say: “I am Lazarus, come from the dead".</em> The first "prophet" allusion is about John the Baptist whose head was cut off and brought on a platter on the request of Herodias's daughter to Herod (Matthew 14, Mark 6). And the second allusion is to Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the grave/ dead (John 11).

Can anyone help me on this?
umka21 [38]

Answer:

Ok so I have never read or heard of "the monster due to maple street" however I am very good at writing thesis and claim statements.

Explanation:

Claim/Topic Sentence- this should complete 2 things:

1. Tell your reader what the topic of this paragraph will be.

2. Connect back to your thesis.

For example:

Thesis: Although some might believe the schools dress code is important, it should be relaxed, as it would allow students to express their identity, it would be more equitable, and more comfortable for all.

Topic Sentence 1: the school should relax their dress code to allow for greater student expression, which would encourage a more open and vulnerable community.

Topic Sentence 2: the school’s dress code is not currently equitable, as not all students have the financial means to abide by its restrictions.

Topic Sentence 3: Finally, studies have been done that greater student comfort allows for a more productive educational setting, so the school should relax its dress code.

sorry I couldn't of been more of help with your specific literature piece, let me know if you have any other questions though. :)

compare in table format the positive and negative impact of social media on teenagers in democratic society
postnew [5]
POSITIVE With the use of social media, teenagers become more aware of what is happening around them. Not only that, they can voice out their opinions as well. NEGATIVE While teenagers were able to voice out their opinions on social media, it also have a negative side. Most of the teenagers just post irrelevant comments about a certain topic. Above all, they should think first before clicking.
