Riya: Hi!

Siya: Hello!

Riya: Are you going towards the library?

Siya: Yes! And you?

Riya: I am also going to the library.

Siya: that's great! Let’s go together.

Riya: So what are you going to read today?

Siya: As this is our leisure time, I prefer solving mathematical questions. And you?

Riya: I am nowadays, reading a novel.

Siya: Great! You should also try some other knowledgeable books available in the library.

Riya: Yes! One of my friends also told me about the great variety of science and other books in the library.

Siya: Yes! You can also read them at your home by taking permission from the library in-charge.

Riya: Okay! I found libraries very helpful for me because I can read anything I wish here without spending any money.

Siya: Yes! These books are very knowledgeable and free of cost.

xz_007 [3.2K]

D. indirect characterization

Indirect characterization is when the author reveals the traits of a character by the way the character speaks, thinks, effects others, acts, and looks. In this excerpt the character's traits are shown through his generosity to the drivers. He gives them each a pack of cigarettes and informs them about what is planned. Direct characterization is when the author specifically tells the reader the character's traits.
