In the first poem by Issa, we can determine death is the motif because of how a moth will be drawn to a flame—a flame that might be a candle in a woman’s room—and burned to death.  In the second poem by William Wordsworth, we can determine death is the motif because of how it describes the sadness that is often associate with death.
