I think the document was written because in the late 1600s when they landed in From the mayflower they didn’t have any rules since it was a new pack of land so they needed the documents to make more rules and they didn’t want it like Britain Britain what rules so they decided to change how the rules were and how they use them that way they were more helpful and protective
