Answer:

Torn by conflicting nationalistic beliefs, Yugoslavia fractured and collapsed into civil war and ethnic cleansing

Explanation:

Yugoslavia was a communist country and probably the best one for living of those types of countries until its famous leader Tito was in charge. Tito died though at the beginning of the 1980's and nationalists managed to get hold onto the highest positions in the country. What was a country that was a prime example of people of different ethnic and religious groups living, collaborating, and developing together for 40 years, started to quickly crumble from the mid 1980's. The tensions grew during the second half of the 1980's, mostly between the Serbian and Croatian nationalists, leading to a bloody war and genocides at the beginning of the 1990's. One by one, the states declared independence, with only Macedonia being able to get out of Yugoslavia peacefully and without war.

Elenna [48]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The information that is needed to investigate and describe a region by its geographic characteristics is the following.

What we need to describe a region geographically speaking is to know the weather of the region, the altitude which is the elevation above sea level, land formation, or mountain chains if it has some, the type of soil, and the plants and trees that grow in the region, and the wildlife. We can search for geological characteristics, as well as atmospheric and hydrological means to know more about the geography of the place.
