English

Komok [63]3 years ago

Answer:

Percy, Annabeth, and Grover try to take a bus to start their quest. While they are on the bus Percy's old math teacher Mrs. Dodds  who is actually a fury shows up disguised as an old lady along with the other two furies. Annabeth puts on her enchanted Yankees hat, given to her by her mother, which turns her invisible. Grover takes their backpack and Percy takes his pen/sword. The plan was for Percy to sneak off the bus with Annabeth's hat but instead of doing that Percy starts killing the furries with riptide (his sword) and ends up destroying the bus and all of their money and supplies. Then Annabeth, Grover, and Percy head out on their own to get to their destination.

Which story premise most clearly contains a supernatural element
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

The answer to this is "B. Dr. Weatherford hopes for some good luck as she gets ready to do  surgery. " This is because all of the other options have a cause and effect produced by actual events and/or human individuals. Dr. Weatherford relying on luck (which is a phenomenon or superstition) opens the door for many different supernatural elements to appear centerfold in the story. Even "Every time a certain church bell rings, something terrible happens  to Guy " is a cause and effect since the church bell acts as a signal for someone else to do something terrible to another individual.
