7. Which one of the following statements is an example of an opinion?
Alborosie
Since an opinion is a personal belief about something, then the answer is B. The concert last night was better than any of us expected. This is because it's an opinion with which some might disagree. If someone believed that the concert was bad then the sentence would not apply and the person would have their own opinion.

How to start a sentence off when describing someone?
JulijaS [17]
Well it really depends.

If you are describing a 12 year old girl, with brown hair and brown eyes it could go something like this:

"The young, twelve year old girl, had long brown curls that fell to her shoulders. Her chocolate brown eyes were as dark as her hair and stood out on her pale, freckled skin. She was - in short - lovely."

If you are describing... let's say... a 16 year old boy with black hair and blue eyes it could go something like this:

"The young man turned his crystal blue eyes in my direction and I looked away quickly so as not to be caught staring. "How old are you?" He asked. "Sixteen," I replied timidly, twirling my long hair around my finger. "Me too," He replied, flicking his shoulder length black hair out of his eyes."

What does Thoreau mean when he writes, “For most men, it appears to me, are in
Tresset [83]

The basic idea of this quote )and the lines that come before it) is that one must live life to the fullest extent possible. Thoreau is giving this as his reason for coming out into the woods. He doesn't want to be in the position where, when he's about to die, he realizes that he never really lived.
