I actually did this kind of question earlier today in a math contest. It took me a while to get it, but it was quite easy.

So we basically know that:

A+B+C=75

Now here comes the tricky part. We have to determine how many rocks there are in each box.

The easy thing about this is that we already know what will be in the boxes after the movements. It's just 75÷3.

So now we know, that after the movements, each of the boxes will contain 12.

Lets do the operations on the boxes.

A-28+19=25
B-24+28=25
C-19+24=25

And we find that:

A=34
B=21
C=20

And from that, we get:

A=34

Hope that helped! Enjoy.

Factor the polynomial function over the complex numbers.
Bumek [7]

Answer:

[x - 1][x + 1][{x}^{2} + 4]

Step-by-step explanation:

Knowing that you have to find two numbers that when they differ to 3, they also multiply to −4, and those numbers are −1 and 4. So, after clearing that up, you will have this [since our degree of this polynomial function is 4]:

[{x}^{2} - 1][{x}^{2} + 4]

Then, since {x}^{2} - 1 is factorable, you will get this:

[x - 1][x + 1]

Finally, attach [{x}^{2} + 4] to the partially factored polynomial to get this:

[x - 1][x + 1][{x}^{2} + 4]

I am joyous to assist you anytime.

What would be the x intercept
Nuetrik [128]

Answer: (1, 0) or 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Since it is parallel to y=2x-7 that means it has the same slope but a different y-intercept. Let's use b for the unknown value

6=2(4)+b

6=8+b

6-8=8+b-8

-2=b

Now we know the equation for the line is y=2x-2

Since we are looking for the x-intercept y will be 0 and we can sub that in to solve

0=2x-2\\0+2=2x-2+2\\2=2x\\\frac{2}{2} =\frac{2x}{2} \\1=x

The x-intercept is 1
