At the Seneca Falls Convention of 1848, many women who wanted voting rights gathered at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Seneca Falls, NY. They discussed women's rights, and addressed the matter of women's suffrage fiercely. Elizabeth Cady Stanton drew up the Declaration of Sentiments during the meeting.
