9966 [12]

This question is incomplete because the options were not given; here is the complete question:

Which lines from Ovid’s "Pyramus and Thisbe" contain an example of characterization?

A. Ringed by the tall brick walls Semíramis had built—so we are told.

B. If you searched all the East, you'd find no girl with greater charm than Thisbe.

C. The wall their houses shared had one thin crack, which formed when they were built and then was left

D. When first light had banished night's bright star-fires from the sky and sun had left the brine-soaked meadows dry

The answer to this question is B. "If you searched all the East, you'd find no girl with greater charm than Thisbe"

Explanation:

In literature, characterization involves using details to explain the traits of characters, this includes their personality, physical traits, qualities, among others. This literary device can be seen in the excerpt "If you searched all the East, you'd find no girl with greater charm than Thisbe" because, in this, the narrator describes Thisbe, who is one main character of the story. Also, the narrator focuses on one important trait of this character, which is her greater charm that according to the narrator could only be found in Thisbe.

3x+7=x - 15 i dont know how to solve it <br> the answer is -11 but i dont know how to get to that
SSSSS [86.1K]
3x + 7 = x - 15

First, make sure to subtract x from both sides.
3x + 7 - x = -15
Second, simplify 3x - x to get 2x, and then keep the 7.
2x + 7 = -15
Third, subtract 7 from both sides.
2x = -15 - 7
Fourth, simplify -15 - 7 to get -22.
2x = -22
Fifth, take the 2 and divide both sides by it, keeping the x by itself.
x = - \frac{22}{2}
Sixth, since 11 goes into 2 to get 22, simplify the fraction to 11.
x = -11

Answer: x = -11

In at least one hundred words, explain ostracism as a recurring theme in Achebe’s Things Fall Apart. Use evidence from the text
valina [46]

Answer:

This technique is persuasive because, in Gordimer’s essay she explains that people of color take the jobs that no white man wants and that they are not allowed in any bar, club, and etc. And that no woman is allowed either. And she does a very good job in explaining what people of color and women went through at the time and how they couldn’t do what white man could. A white man could do jobs that wouldn’t allow any woman or colored person to do. A white man could vote and be seen in a bar and have more freedom and rights than a colored person and a woman could have. And a white man could be in the military or get paid more than a colored person or woman. A black man could vote but, it wouldn’t count and women were not allowed to vote.
