This should actually be in the health, psychological section, but I'll answer it on here anyways.

1. They're insecure. Most people hate on others because they're insecure themselves, therefore reflecting themselves back onto others.

2. They're trying to be nice, but don't really like you. I've been called fake before, which to an extent could be considered true. But I believe that I should be kind to others no matter my opinion on them, which comes off badly sometimes because they assume I like them just because I'm being courteous.

3. They're trying too hard. People will often act unlike themselves, or like another because they've convinced themselves that it would make them and others like them more.

Briefly explain the operation of the stare decisis rule
Sedbober [7]
Stare decisis is a legal doctrine that necessitates courts to follow historical cases when creating a ruling on a similar current or future case. Stare decisis safeguards that cases with identical facts be approached in the same way, except overruled by the same court or a higher court such as the US Supreme Court. Simply put, it binds courts to follow legal precedents set by previous decisions.  Stare decisis is a Latin term meaning "to stand by that which is decided". The US common law system has a integrated system of determining legal matters from the principle of stare decisis and precedent. A past ruling or judgment on any circumstance is known as a precedent. Stare decisis commands that courts look to precedent when overseeing an on-going case with similar circumstances.

A field experiment is conducted on a daily bases. In this field experiment, the experimenter still manipulates the independent variables.

But this happened only in real-life settings. In this experiment, the experimenter was not in that condition to control the extraneous variables. This experiment can conduct real life.

Thus Terence mentor recommends the observational method/field experiment.
