Feedback <em>is necessary for communication to be considered two-way</em>, because if someone just stated or asked something without any feedback or replies, it would be considered as a one-way communication because you are only sending the message to others. But, if they replied to you, they are sending a message back, making the imaginary arrow come back from a two-way travel. Hope this helps.
