This is in relation to the speech "<em>Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death</em>" by Patrick Henry. This speech was made to the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775 as Mr. Henry attempted to rouse support for the American Revolution.

In the speech he mentions how the British had already begun to prepare for war with their huge navies and armies and that if the Colonists did not make a stand then, they would come under even more subjugation from the British. He states that they must be prepared to fight and to join fellow colonists who were already in the field in order to gain their freedom or die doing so.
