Record of the year is referring to a single song from a single album, acknowledging the producer, artist, etc., while the album of the year is referring to a specific album from a specific artist.

Record<span> of the Year is related to </span>Song<span> of the Year or </span>Album<span> of the Year but it is different. </span>Record<span> of the Year is awarded for a single track FROM an </span>album<span>.
