Windmill technology is good because:
a. It conserves and keep waters clean, the turbines of windmills do not produce emissions that contribute to mercury contamination in lakes and streams. It conserves water compared to nuclear power plants that require 600 times more water and coal that needs 500 times more water as well.

b. Wind energy is pollution free, therefore air will be cleaner. When this happens, global climate change and acid rain will be prevented.

c. Greenhouse gases are not produced by windmill technology other than its manufacturing, installation, and maintenance. Compared to other sources like fuel and coal that burn-off and produce harmful emissions in the atmosphere, wind power produces none.

d. There is no longer a need for mining. The destructive effects of mining to the environment can be prevented because harnessing the energy of the wind as a main source of power prevents the depletion of Earth's natural resources.

e. Lands will be preserved because these windmills require only small portions of land that have minimum impact on crop production or livestock grazing.
