It was a Fort in Arizona whose purpose was to keep the peace in the White Mountain Reservation, but they also actively went against the Chiricahua Apache Indians in South Arizona and New Mexico. The Smith gang and the Bronco Bill gang are the most notable who operated near the Fort.
