Answer:

Planning for the post-World War II world began before the United States even entered the conflict. On August 9, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill first met aboard the cruiser USS Augusta.

The meeting took place while the ship was anchored at US Naval Station Argentia (Newfoundland), which had recently been acquired from Britain as part of the Bases for Destroyers Agreement.

Meeting over two days, the leaders produced the Atlantic Charter, which called for self-determination of peoples, freedom of the seas, global economic cooperation, disarmament of aggressor nations, reduced trade barriers, and freedom from want and fear.

In addition, the United States and Britain stated that they sought no territorial gains from the conflict and called for the defeat of Germany. Announced on August 14, it was soon adopted by the other Allied nations as well as the Soviet Union. The charter was met with suspicion by the Axis powers, who interpreted it as a budding alliance against them.

Answer: The biocapacity  of an ecosystem is an estimate of its production of certain biological materials such as natural resources, and its absorption and filtering of other materials such as carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Biocapacity is able to determine the human impacts on Earth. Both biocapacity and Ecological Footprint are expressed in a common unit called a global hectare (gha). In 2012, the Earth’s total biocapacity was 12.2 billion gha, or 1.7 gha per person, while humanity’s Ecological Footprint was 20.1 billion gha, or 2.8 gha per person. The Ecological Footprint is unequally distributed, with residents of high-income countries placing a disproportionate pressure on nature as they use more than their fair share of the Earth’s resources.

You are a judge who must sentence two defendants. one insisted on a jury trial and, through his defense attorney, dragged the ca
dexar [7]

Answer:

As the judge, i would do my duty and sentence the two of them according to the severity of their crimes and past criminal record.

Explanation:

I would pass the sentence on both men as deemed by law. The length of their prison sentence is largely dependent on the past criminal record (if any) and any other factor i feel is necessary to be considered such as show of remorse and circumstances leading to the crime committed.

My judgement would in no way be affected by the length of the trial of either men. If any of them has a past criminal record, he would get a tougher sentence for being a repeated offender, if the co-defendant has no prior record, his sentence would be less because he's a first time offender.
