The nephron, the functional unit of the kidney, is responsible for removing waste from the body. Each kidney is composed of over one million nephrons that dot the renal cortex, giving it a granular appearance when sectioned sagittally (from front to rear).
The nephron in kidney removes the waste from the body. Each kidney of the human body have nearly one million nephrons. There are two different kinds nephrons are present in human kidney and those nephrons are located at different parts in renal cortex. The two different kinds of nephrons are called cortical nephrons and juxtamedullary nephrons.
