Answer:

The correct answer is

The greatest in the first blank

the least in the second blank

Explanation:

Bear being an omnivores feed on the plants and animals. In a food chain, bear is kept at the highest most position as it feeds on secondary consumers. In food pyramid the organism at the highest most position is dependent on secondary consumers for its food. Also in a food pyramid energy transferred to the a trophic level is always 10% of the energy of its previous trophic level

Thus, in this way the energy at different trophic levels would be

a) Producer (tree)  - energy = 100 Joules

b) Primary consumer – 10 % of energy of plant = 10 % of 100 Joules = 10

c) Secondary consumer = 10 % of energy of primary consumer  = 10 % of 10 Joules = 1 Joules

d) Tertiary consumer (Bear) = 10 % of energy of secondary consumer  = 10 % of 1 Joules = 0.1 Joules
