The correct answer is D.

The Oracle of Delphi was the Pythia, denomination that was given to the highest priestess of the Temple of Apolo in Delphi.

Apollo spoke through the Oracle and, according to the legend, the God possessed her spirit and in such trance state she has able to prophesy. Time later it was discovered that she was actually intoxicated by some vapours which made her reach the trance state.
