"In Another Country" is a short story about an American Officer who, after having his knee wounded, ends up in a rehabilitation center in Italy. The story often depicts how machines are used in order to treat injured soldiers. Although they seem to be effective, the soldiers seem highly skeptical of them, as they represent an alternative treatment which they have not heard about before.
