2x + 3(5 - x) - 12 = 4(x + 2)

1) pass: Delete the parentheses, making the multiplications.
2x + 15 - 3x - 12 = 4x + 8

2) pass: Put the numbers with incognito on the left and change the signal when changing sides if necessary, put the numbers without incognito on the right by changing the signal if necessary.
2x + 15 - 3x - 12 = 4x + 8
2x - 3x - 4x = - 15 + 12 + 8

3) pass: Solve the equations not forgetting the signal rules.
2x - 3x - 4x = - 15 + 12 + 8
- x - 4x = - 3 + 8
- 5x = 5 Simplify by (-1) Exchanging the signals
5x = - 5
x = \frac{-5}{5}
\boxed{x = -1}

2x+3(5-x)-12=4(x+2)

Distribution property:
2x+15-3x-12=4x+8
Add like terms:
-1x+3=4x+8
Add 1x to both sides:
3=5x+8
Subtract 8 from both sides:
-5=5x
Divide by 5 on both sides to get x by itself:

x= -1

two angles form a straight angle. what is the one angle measures 89°. what is the measure of the other angle?
ICE Princess25 [194]
A straight line is = to 180 degrees (straight angle) so the formula would be
X+89=180
subtract the 89 from both sides and you get x=91
so the other angle is 91 degrees

Will bought 3 college textbooks. One cost 32$, one cost 45$, and one cost 39$. What is the average price of his book?
Damm [24]

Answer:

The average of all textbooks is $38.60.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here's why to calculate average we do sum of all numbers divided by the number of numbers, for example if we average 2 and 3, we do 2+3 divided by 2. Which happens to be 2.5. Now for this problem we divide the sum by 3.

Therefore getting our answer of $38.60.

The product of two consecutive positive integers is 1,332. Explain how you can write and solve a quadratic equation to find the
taurus [48]
Product of two consecutive integer so this mean that x and y but y = x+1 than

x(x+1)=1332

x^2 +x -1332 =0 so bc. you get 36*37=1332 and 37x-36x=x so you can rewriting this quadratic factorized completlie

x^2 +x -1332 = 0

(x+37)(x-36)=0

x+37=0

x=-37 so the larger integer result that will be 37
