Answer:

Option A) Active transport.

Explanation:

 1. Active transport - Movement of molecules or ions from a lower concentration to a region of higher concentration(against a concentration gradient), by the use of enzymes and consuming energy(ATP), hence the substances move across plasma membrane against a concentration gradient.
 2. Osmosis is the process in which molecules of the solvent passes through a semipermeable membrane(plasma membrane in case of cell) from a less concentrated solution to more concentrated one along the concentrated gradient. Energy is not required in this process and hence it is passive process.
 3. Diffusion is the movement of the molecules of a material from higher concentration to lower concentration.
 4. Facilitated diffusion is similar to diffusion, it the transport of substances across a biological membrane from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration by the help of a carrier molecule.

Result: Active transport happens against a concentration gradient.

Tell how you should respond if you come upon the scene of a vehicular accident
ddd [48]
Incorporating basic life support, the first thing one should do is survey the scene. Look for any obstacles that will make the response difficult such as shattered glass, fire, etc. Second, call emergency hotline (usually it's 911 but it may differ from other countries). If you are a certified basic life support provider, then continue with the next steps. Next step would be checking the patient's airway, breathing, and circulation (ABC) by checking the if there is blocking the airway, or if the patient can breathe spontaneously, as well as the pulse. Next step would be assess if the patient as a cervical fracture as this should be handled carefully. If the patient is not breathing or has no/decreased pulse then proceed with doing CPR until help arrives.
