My wife and I stayed at a very nice hotel inside the walled city. We stayed in Cartagena for one week, and did many things. We went to the beach, dancing, to eat shellfish, and walk around the city streets. The walled city is very romantic at night, and while we were walking, we saw many dancers and musicians on the streets playing and dancing regional music, like salsa. The way they danced was impressive, and the music was very cheerful and festive. We enjoyed the city's nightlife a lot; there were parties and dancing everywhere.
The city's beaches were not very nice, and were very crowded, but we went to some beaches close to the city and they were beautiful. In one of those beaches we went scuba diving. The water was very clear and clean, so while we were scuba diving we saw fish from all colors, turtles and corals.
We enjoyed our holidays in Cartagena a lot, it is a very colorful city, filled with culture and nice people, and we definitely recommend that you visit.
