<em>Concurrent powers</em> are the <em>sharing </em>of powers by the Federal Government and the states, which can be exercised at the same time; the collection of taxes, for example. They are different from <em>Reserved powers</em>, those exercised only by the Federal Government.

<em>Drafting of soldiers, coining money and establishing schools</em> are not under the Concurrent powers.
