I think that you forgot to give the picture of the circle along with the question. I am answering the question based on my research and knowledge.

The total unshaded part of the circle = (3/5 + 1/4)
                                                          = (12 + 5)/20
                                                          = 17/20
Now, the full circle can be considered = 1
Then
The total shaded part of the circle = 1 - (17/20)
                                                      = (20 - 17)/20
                                                      = 3/20
I hope that this is the answer that has actually come to your desired help.

A crew of highway workers paved 12 mile in 14 hour. If they work at the same rate, how much will they pave in one hour?
ratelena [41]

Answer:

0.857 miles in 1 hour

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

A crew of highway workers paved 12 mile in 14 hour.

We need to find how much will they pave in 1 hour if they work at the same rate.

14 hours = 12 miles

To find how much they pave in 1 hour, we must divide 12 by 14 as follows :

1\ \text{hour}=\dfrac{12}{14}\ \text{miles}\\\\=0.857\ \text{miles}

Hence, they pave 0.857 miles in 1 hour.0.857 miles in 1 hour.

What are the final coordinates for the figure?
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

Reflection over y axis rule

(x,y) --------> (-x,y)

Rule explained:

Simply change the sign of the x value and keep the y value as it it

Coordinates of A (-4,0)

Apply reflection over y axis rule

(-4,0) -----> (4,0)

Next we want to apply a translation with the rule ( x - 5 , y + 2 )

Explanation of rule:

Simply subtract 5 from the x value and add 2 to the y value

Current coordinates of A (4,0)

Apply translation rule

(4,0) -------> ( 4 - 5 , 0 + 2 ) --------> (-1 , 2 )

The y value of coordinate A would be 2 after all of the transformations
