Answer:

Simba's remark to Scar is similar to the revenge of Hamlet, but in a less violent way. Hamlet wants to kill his uncle for murdering his father; Simba, on the other hand, wants Scar to go through the same punishment he bestowed on Simba for killing his father.

What does the carriage symbolize in this excerpt from Emily Dickinson’s “Because I Could Not Stop for Death”?
Zigmanuir [339]
In this excerpt, the carriage symbolizes DEATH.
From the passage, it can be seen that the word carriage is capitalized, that makes it a proper noun. This means that, the carriage is not just any carriage but the writer's own carriage of death, her death chariot, which will convey her to the land of the dead.

Which statement most accurately describes this excerpt?
Arturiano [62]

It contains one dependent and one independent clause.

Answer: Option 3.

Explanation:

A dependent clause is also known as the subordinate clause. It is that which is a part of the sentence which adds extra information to the particular sentence of which it is a part. But it is nothing without a sentence. It can not stand without it.

On the other hand, independent clause is a clause which has a meaning itself also. In other words, it stands as an independent sentence in itself and does not need to be a part of some other sentence necessarily to make a meaning out of it.
