Americans were “pushed” west for many reasons. Many Americans felt like they were missing job opportunities in eastern states. Others felt that they were treated unfairly, and many believed that there wasn’t enough land to meet their needs. They were also “pulled” to the west by factors like new land, plentiful resources, and a desire for adventure.

One push factor was the belief that Manifest Destiny was for Americans to settle from sea to sea. One pull factor was all the ads in the newspapers about working and getting rich from mining gold.

Which of the following does not affect ocean currents? A. Position of the continents B. Marine organisms C. Atmospheric temperat
solmaris [256]

Answer:

B. Marine organisms.

Explanation:

The four factors that influence ocean currents are winds, water density (the amount of salt in water and its temperature), the ocean bottom topography and the rotation of the Earth (it creates two currents, one clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and one counter-clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere). Marine organisms, plants or animals, are not counted as a factor that affects currents.

What did the end of the First World War lead to
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

World War I was known as the “war to end all wars” because of the great slaughter and destruction it caused. Unfortunately, the peace treaty that officially ended the conflict—the Treaty of Versailles of 1919—forced punitive terms on Germany that destabilized Europe and laid the groundwork for World War II.
