Aristophanes, in an attempt to satirize the war, imagines a world in which the women of Athens are able to solve one of society’

s most complex problems— war— with their strategic abilities and extraordinary courage. What are the arguments the women make for granting them authority instead of men? Are they persuasive arguments? Why or why not? Aside from eros, what other forms of love are expressed in the play?

Lysistrata, the representative of the women, argued that women and children are always at the receiving end whenever war ensues. She told the magistrate that men abandon their wives and children during war to pursue an unnecessary military career, which makes their wives and children to suffer severely.

They are persuasive arguments because she was able to convince the magistrate who in turn condemned the men for not adequately monitoring their wives.

Another type of love that was expressed in the play was Mania-obsessive love. This is evident from the fact that the women found it difficult to control themselves and had to go back to their men for sex.

Pragma- enduring love, was also another type of love expressed in the play because the men were very determined to continue sexual affairs with their wives despite continual denial.

Why did Texans object to being merged with Coahuila?
Serhud [2]
ANSWER: In the case of Tejas its territory was organized for administrative purposes, with the state being divided into three districts: Béxar, comprising the area covered by Texas; Monclova, comprising northern Coahuila; and Río Grande Saltillo, comprising southern Coahuila.

The state remained in existence until the adoption of the 1835 "Constitutional Bases", whereby the federal republic was converted into a unitary one, and the nation's states (estados) were turned into departments (departamentos). The State of Coahuila and Texas was split in two and became the Department of Coahuila and the Department of Texas.basically that explains it I belive

Match each event to the correct step in the decision-making process. 1. A woman is considering running for city council. Step On
GREYUIT [131]

Step 1, Identify the decission: "A woman is considering running for city council." In this step we can see that she defines the nature of the decision. The objective is clear, running for city council. Now she needs to make sure if that is a correct decision or not.

Step 2, Gather information: "She meets with a current and former council member to discuss the duties of city council members." A former council member is a great source, he/she can tell her all the pros and cons of the descition taken. She will kwon her responsabilities as well as the impacto of her job.

Step 3, Identify alternatives: "She thinks about alternative options for civic engagement beyond running for city council." Is there another way she can help? With the information gathered she can decide that, maybe her objective  can't be reached by being a council.

Step 4, Weigh the evidence: "She considers the time spent away from her family but also knows she would be doing a lot of good in her community." Here she draws the scenario as if she had already taken the decision. Emotions and information are taken in consideration. It may be a difficult internal process but in this way she can realize what she really wants.

Step 5, Choose among alternatives: "She files paperwork to officially run for city council." Finally, after weighing   evidence, se has chosen to run for city council. Here we can say that she is also in step 6 (take action), as she has filled up paperwork.
