Answer:

Diction refers to word choice and phrasing in any written or spoken text. Many authors can be said to have their own “diction,” because they tend to use certain words more than others or phrase things in a unique way.

Explanation:

Diction can be defined as style of speaking or writing, determined by the choice of words by a speaker or a writer. Diction, or choice of words, often separates good writing from bad writing.Firstly, the word has to be right and accurate. Secondly, words should be appropriate to the context in which they are used.

What is the correct interpretation of the following lines from act IV, scene II, of Twelfth Night?
shtirl [24]

The correct answer is A. Malvolio is painting a dramatic picture of the practical joke he has been subjected to.

Explanation: In "Twelfth Night" by William Shakespeare, Toby and the others prank Malvolio into behaving strangely in hopes that he can win over Olivia's love. Malvolio's alleged madness allows Maria, Toby, and the others to lock him in a dark room and Feste (disguised as Sir Topas) continues the prank. He attempts to convince Malvolio that if he wasn't mad, he would see the room was filled with light. He argues against Sir Topas and demands that he asks questions to prove he is not mad.

Transgress
Minchanka [31]
I would say B, though transgress can be used two ways; with and without a verb. With a verb it means passing limitations such as dimensions of time or space (as used in Science-Fiction novels). Without a verb the word is used to represent "to violate a law". This could also be interpreted a violating a command, thereby commanding in its own right. While none of these options make great sense, B. "to command" makes the most sense (though C takes a close second).
