 Not sure if this is for algebra but this is the algebraic solution.
1. 5x + 1y = 25 (x meaning number of nickels) (y meaning number of pennies)
so 3 solutions could be, 5 nickels and 0 pennies, 4 nickels and 5 pennies, 3 nickels and 10 pennies.
2. First calculate how many days till the end of October, (31-14)= 17 days. then add 30 days for the entire month of November. Then add the 5 days that occurred in December. This will leave you with a total of 52 days.

=-4×2+2+1

=-8+2+1

=-8+3

=-5

b. Solition:

=477+5777

=5300

c. Solution:

-891

d. Solution:

-63×12+12×37

=-756+444

-312

2.

a. Solution:

5y-3+3=-18+3

5y=-15

y=-15/5

y=3

b. Solution:

-3x-9+9=0+9

-3x=9

x=9/-3

x=-3

c. Solution:

4+3-3(z-8-3)=-23-3

4(z-5)=-20

4z-20=-20

4z-20+20=-20+20

4z

z=4

d. Solution:

1-2+2(y-4+2)=5+2

3(y-2)=7

3y-6=7

3y-6+6=7+6

3y=13

y=13/3

y=4.33

Help! Select the correct answer.<br> Graph the following system of inequalities. WILL GIVE BRAINLY!!
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

w is the correct answer

Step-by-step explanation:

y \leqslant  \frac{1}{3} x - 2

If we choose the point (3, 0), we obtain

0 <= -1, which is not true. So we shade the region to the left of x = 4 (which is a dashed vertical line) and below

y = (1/3)x - 2 (which is a solid line).

Lincoln rode his bike 16 miles in 104 minutes. If he rode at a constant speed how far did he ride in 10 minutes
Olegator [25]

Use cross multiplication to solve:

\frac{104}{10} =\frac{16}{x}\\ \\10*16=160\\104x=160\\\\x=160/104\\x=\frac{20}{13}

So, he rode \frac{20}{13} miles in 10 minutes (approximately 1.54mi).

Simplify the difference. (7w^2 – 7w – 8) – (5w^2 + 2w – 3)
zalisa [80]
(7w^2-7w-8)-(5w^2+2w-3)= 7w^2-7w-8-5w^2-2w+3=7w^2-5w^2-7w-2w-8+3=2w^2-9w-5
