The government system that support its legitimacy on people contribution is called Democracy.
There are two types of democracy:
Direct democracy or pure democracy: When political decision is made by people directly, with the individual vote.
Each person is treated equal and they have directly influence.
Representative democracy,Indirect democracy or Republic: When representatives are chosen to make policy and laws while in charge to represent the people. Mostly of all modern democratic countries are representative.
