A beach ball is a sphere, so we will need to know how to find the volume of a sphere.
V=4π(r³/3)
We have the diameter, but not the radius. To find the radius, it is half of the diameter.
10÷2=5
Now let's plug it in.
4π(5³/3)
Let's solve.
4π= 12.56
5³= 125
125÷3= 41.67 (repeating 6)
41.67×12.56= 523.3752
523.33 cubic inches is the volume of air contained inside the beach ball. The reason I picked that answer is because we rounded up to 41.67, when there was a repeating 6. So we should expect for the answer to be a couple decimals lower from the answer we got.

A ski Gondola cabin can safely carry X number of people that are already 2/3 x people in the cabin went on another 15 or allowed
Strike441 [17]
30 people are already in the cabin.

If there’s 2/3 of the people that the cabin can carry, and 15 more can board, the 15 is the remaining 1/3, so to get the other 2/3 that we don’t know, you multiply 15 by 2, to get 30.

So all together, the cabin can carry 45 people.

Hope this helps!

If line L is parallel to plane P ,how many planes containing line L can be drawn parallel to plane P
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

Only 1 plane containing line L can be drawn parallel to plane P.

Step-by-step explanation:

Line L is an axis of an infinite number of planes that can contain it. Line L is a straight line suspended over or below plane P.

All the planes that can contain line L would be almost infinte. Spinning around this axis of line L, the planes that can contain line L will be always be at an angle to plane P except for one position. In this position the plane containing Line L would face straight up to the plane P, hence, this is the only parallel case.

Hope this Helps!!!

Examine this system of equations. Which numbers can be multiplied by each equation so that when the two equations are added toge
podryga [215]

Answer:

18 times the first equation and 8 times the second equation

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

\frac{1}{4}x-\frac{1}{6}y=5 ------> first equation

\frac{4}{5}x+\frac{3}{8}y=10 ------> second equation

step 1

Multiply the second equation  by 8 both sides to remove the fraction in the variable y

8(\frac{4}{5}x+\frac{3}{8}y)=10(8)

\frac{32}{5}x+3y=80

step 2

Multiply the first equation  by 18 both sides to obtain the coefficient -3 in the variable y

18(\frac{1}{4}x-\frac{1}{6}y)=5(18)

\frac{18}{4}x-3y=90

step 3

Adds the new equation 1 and equation 2

\frac{18}{4}x-3y=90\\\\ \frac{32}{5}x+3y=80\\ -------

The y-term is eliminated

therefore

The answer is

18 times the first equation and 8 times the second equation

Can someone find the slope?
Charra [1.4K]
I think it is 2/17. If you do 2-0 over 17-0 you get 2/17. The equation for this is y2-x2 over y1-y2=slope
