In a nonfiction work, the feature that lists the major parts with the corresponding page numbers is the table of contents.  It outlines the main points ot the texts along with the pages in order to help the reader understand how the book is organized.

Depending on the format, it may be in the first pages or at the back of the book.

Not to be confussed with the index, which only shows alphabetical listing of the key names, concepts or events cited in the book along with page numbers.

Write an essay that analyzes how a text explains the sequence of events that affected the discovery of the Rosetta stone
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

When the Rosetta stone was found in August of 1799 nobody knew how to read the stone. Because it said the same thing in three different languages Greek, Egyptian and Egyptian hieroglyphics. It took 20 years to read what the Rosetta stone had said. The people who wrote the words on the Rosetta stone were a group of priests they had written that the priests at a temple in Memphis supported the king. The stone is a valuable piece of history because it uncovered a lot of history about Egyptian culture and how to read and write hieroglyphics. The stone is made out of a slab granodiorite.
