She’s possibly trying to evoke pity, fear, a sense of injustice, or even make the reader feel a sort of sadness because you know that the person you are reading about is getting hurt emotionally. Something we individuals find despicable and inhumane. Also, threatening and menacing a person with hell fire in their last moments of living is pretty evil because God is a generous person who doesn’t cause grief and if the person believes such lies they will not only die unhappy but they will also become fearful to even die.

why is it sometimes effective to refer to a known myth or work of art in the title of a literary work?
Leviafan [203]
Allusion is a reference, within a literary work, regarding a film, a piece of art, a historical even, or mythology. An allusion as a kind of shorthand, drawing on the outside work to provide greater context or meaning to the situation  being written about.

One can use allusion to achieve a well-rounded feel to their essay. You can reference to a multitude of other works to give your essay a more complex meaning. Making connotations to other things such as art of mythology can strengthen the point you are trying to get across. Also, using allusion may also provoke your reader to do research on a reference you are making, thus giving your essay more depth.

Hope I helped :)
