William Richard Frisell, better known as Bill Frisell (March 18, 1951) is an American guitarist and composer. He is one of the best known jazz guitarists since the late 1980s, who has composed an eclectic work composed of progressive folk, classical music, country music, noise and many more. He is known for using a multitude of effects (delay, distortion, reverb, octavators and volume pedals, to name a few) in order to create unique sounds with his instrument.
