Answer:

  32.7 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

For central angle θ in radians, the arc length is given by ...

  s = rθ

The angle between 12 and 5 is 5π/6 radians, and the radius is 25/2 cm, so the arc length is ...

  s = (25/2 cm)(5π/6) = (125/12)π cm ≈ 32.7 cm

The arc length between the markings is about 32.7 cm.

How do you do 43? I'm really confused.

Remove parenthesis on m-2 because you don't need to distribute ( you have an invisible 1, but it won't change the values bc it's a one) Combine your like terms on the side you removed the parenthesis. m-2-5 -> m-7. Now on the other side distribute the 2 to the terms in the parenthesis. once you've done that your equation should look like this 8- 2m +8. now lets look at th full equation. m-7=8-2m+8 move the -2m to the other side, by adding. you now have an equation like this 3m- 7=16. move the -7 to the other side by adding. 3m=23. divide 23 by 3. you're answer should be m= 23/3
its best to leave your answer as a fraction.
Hope this helped. (:

A person is riding a Ferris wheel has a radius of 50ft. find the linear speed of the person in feet per minute if the Ferris whe
kifflom [539]

The linear speed of a person on this Ferris wheel is about 628.2 ft/min.

What is Linear Speed ?

As a body travels a circular path, it has both a linear speed and an angular speed. The rate it travels on that path is the linear speed, and the rate it turns around the center of that path is the angular speed. The linear speed (v) and angular speed (ω) are related by the radius (r) or v = rω .

Given that ;

Radius = r = 50 ft

Frequency = f = 2 rev/min

The angular speed is the product of the angular displacement for one complete turn, namely 2π radians per revolution, and the frequency (f). That is, the angular speed is equal to ω = 2πf. Substituting this into the formula for linear speed (v), we get:

                                v = r (2πf)

                                    = (50 ft) ( 2π / rev) ( 2 rev/min)

                                    = 200π ft/min

                                    ≈ 628.2 ft/min

The linear speed of a person on this Ferris wheel is about 628.2 ft/min.
