Answer:

He sat bolt upright, reaching for his glasses which in his haste, he knocked across the room. "iQue pasa? iQue  pasa?"

Explanation:

Ju lia Alvarez's short story <em>Daughter of Invention</em> revolves around a Dominican family who had escaped their country and emigrated to America. Narrated by the young girl, the story tells of how their life in America and their past life in the Latin nation differ and how it had affected their own relationship as a family. But despite it all, they worked through their differences and built a stronger relationship.

The young narrator was writing a speech to be given in the school assembly. And in her speech, she had boldly stated her independence and in her father's words, is <em>"boastful"</em>. And despite being in America, the land of the free, Carlos, the father, still seems to live in fear of the government or anything that's in authority as such. And in this fear, he refuses to allow his daughter to give the <em>"boastful"</em> speech and tore the paper. And in his usage of their mother tongue, <u>Carlos exhibits his connection to his Dominican origin, for he still uses the language that he was born into despite living in America. This reveals that he still remains tied to his Latin roots. </u>

In which excerpt from the passage does the author most clearly use
JulijaS [17]

The excerpt from the passage where the author most clearly uses

logical reasoning to make his or her argument persuasive is Option C.

<h3>What is logical reasoning?</h3>

The practice of persuasion by appealing to the rationality of the audience can be defined as logical reasoning.

it involves the practice of subjecting the ideas to factual and rational analysis.

Hence it is right to state that the excerpt from the passage where the author most clearly uses logical reasoning to make his or her argument persuasive is the excerpt that reads:

"Of course, you could travel by car and see the country that way. However, car travel is very tiring for whoever does the driving, unless you make lots of time-consuming stops." (Option C)

“A good name is rather to be chosen than riches” How is it relevant to all of us in general? List and Explain examples.
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

not very relevant

Explanation:

the american mindset is that most people want to be famous or rich (henceforth the idea of hollywood it is just a name but the fact that we think of rags to riches) so in my view some one who would say that would be someone who already has it all

but some one who would deny whould be some one with a bhuddist background as they are not focused on the material world
