In a memoir, authors often blend factual information about events with personal reflection on the experience. Which sentences in

this excerpt from Ernest Shackleton's South! show the author reflecting on memories of his experience, rather than recounting factual information? The apathy which seemed to take possession of some of the men at the frustration of their hopes was soon dispelled. Parties were sent out daily in different directions to look for seals and penguins. We had left, other than reserve sledging rations, about 110 lbs. of pemmican, including the dog-pemmican, and 300 lbs.

Rewrite the following passage, correcting any problems in subject/verb/antecedent agreement.
irina [24]

I think it is:

Sarah opened her drawer took out the new stationary set. Now that she has finished her chores, she can spend some time writing a letter to her friend Cade. Cade had just moved to a new city a few months ago, but Sarah felt as if he had been gone for a year. Fortunately, they both love writing letters. They even put their own creative touch, a sketch, at the bottom of each letter. They were determined that their friendship would last even if they were far away from each other.

Something like that. I hope this helps.

What does the text tell us about Eliza's relationship when enslaved by "Mr.Berry"? What can we infer -reading between the lines-
Gnom [1K]

Answer and Explanation:

The text informs that Eliza and Mr. Berry had a very close relationship and that he as a generous man and that he had romantic interests in Eliza would have freed her if he had that power in hand, but unfortunately, he could not do that using only his own will. as justification.

We can see between the lines, that slavery promoted the separation of Eliza and her children, preventing them from growing up together and maintaining contact, as a family should have. This is because, as slaves, Eliza knew that her children would be sold as soon as they were of the right age to work in the fields. She would never see them again and they would grow up and live without their mother.

Degger [83]

Answer:
