King Louis XIV is the one who sent France to aid America in the American Revolution and also sent them to help in the Seven Year's War, both of those wars together put them in debt. Although I can't think of any other ways he could have influenced them, if you meant King Louis XVI, he could not fix their financial pribpems, he had absolute power, and the 1st Estate had special privalilages, that he gave them. That was when the French Revolution began.
