The city planners can reduce the pollution levels by carefully managing the size and location of buildings, where the industry is located, enabling free air movement, constructing objects fro plant growth etc.

Explanation:

Lot of large cities in the world face huge problems when it comes to the air quality, as the levels of pollution are way above the limit. Part of the reason as two why this is happening is because of bad city planning. Instead of putting the industry out of the urban areas, especially the heavy one, it is often inside the cities. The infrastructure is also often built in a manner that stops the free air movement, which results in pilling up of pollutants.

The city planners can solve this problems with several methods, such as:

  • building infrastructure that will enable free air movement
  • locating the industry out of the urban areas and to be set in a place where the air movement won't bring pollution to the cities, but away from them
  • constructing special objects on the existing infrastructure for plant growth

Two very big problems that contribute to the air pollution are the non-regulated emissions of pollutants, and the lack of greenery. The authorities have to be very strict toward the industry and force it to use filters, which unfortunately is often a big problem because of the corruption. The large cities that have problems with air pollution often lack greenery. This can be solved by putting objects on which plants can grow, at every possible location. Plants such as the ivy are active all year around, they are fast growing, and low maintenance, and they will be able to extract huge amounts of carbon dioxide from the air.

Imagine you are a farmer in an area that has monsoons. What would you need to do to adjust your crops or your farming techniques
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

(Possibly reword this if you want and possibly add extra) For things like farming in an area that has monsoons, there are still many options. Most will wait preferably for monsoons to start before they start planting things like peanuts, sugarcane, soybeans, etc. Ways to collect water to save for the dry months would be of course a water collecting system, (pipes, barrels, storage space, working system that can continue the flow of water) In the wet seasons it's more common to grow things like cucumber, lettuce, tomato, etc. Growing crops in the wet seasons that are typically grown in another time slot is still an option when you have raised planting areas, drainage, etc. Depending on how you farm and how much produce you must grow you can turn to a greenhouse, most greenhouses have controlled temperature and a good water system that relies on a timer. Main idea: By positioning a giant tank (downhill if possible) from the crops leading to pipes and such you can collect and store it for months. Later being used for the crops.
