Does power corrupt automatically? Apply this famous expression to the events and characters in Macbeth. You can focus on a singl

e character or several.
You may take the position that it always corrupts, never corrupts, or sometimes corrupts, but be sure to provide textual support. This is from "Macbeth".

I just need help getting started. I can write a 5 paragraph essay or a 11 slide power point or prezi.

The easiest character to apply this to i Macbeth himself. He was corrupted by the wish for power so much that he killed the King so as to become the new king. Then he did all kinds of things that were bad so he could keep his reign. It sometimes corrupts is the best answer because not all powerful people were corrupt. The king that Macbeth killed, Duncan, was not corrupt yet he had the power.

The way the emotional appeal in these arguments are similar is that A. both appeal to a sense of national pride

What is Emotional Appeal?

This refers to the persuasive appeal which is also a rhetorical appeal that is used to try to convince a person about something, by appealing to his emotions and not logic.

Hence, we can see that based on the complete text, there are two arguments that are used to try and convince people about the national pride that they would have if they acted in a particular way.

The speaker focused on the issue of nationalism, independence, and autonomy as he rallied the American colonists to try and rebel against the British so they could form their own government.
