One of the principles of the Constitution is “Popular Sovereignty”

Explanation:

The principle of popular sovereignty is that the power of a State and its legislature, across its elected officials (the People's rule), which is the basis of all political authority is created and maintained by the consent of its citizens.

The vote is an example of popular sovereignty. As a citizen, it is important to vote because the government listens to your voice mainly.

IMPORTANCE: Popular sovereignty is the faith that when a democratic system is in position, people are making decisions concerning the legislation and the administration, and control is controlled "by the people and for the population." Citizens have control of the government authorities who serve their long term interests, usually by voting.

This is the belief that the Government's authority is established by the will and the approval of its citizens who are the center of all power.

Do you think Rockefeller deserved to be called a
"robber baron" Why or why not?
lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

"Robber baron" is a derogatory term of social criticism originally applied to certain wealthy and powerful 19th-century American businessmen. The term appeared as early as the August 1870 issue of The Atlantic Monthly magazine. By the late 1800s, the term was typically applied to businessmen who used exploitative practices to amass their wealth. These practices included exerting control over natural resources, influencing high levels of government, paying subsistence wages, squashing competition by acquiring their competitors to create monopolies and raise prices, and schemes to sell stock at inflated prices to unsuspecting investors. The term combines the sense of criminal and illegitimate aristocracy.
