Answer:

The given quote from Frankenstein was said by the monster at the graveside where Victor is visiting. He admits that he did not want to do the deeds he had done but it was only because of the neglect he had suffered at the hands of the creator he longed love from. His misery and anger at the creator he expects love and care from led to the murderous acts that in turn led to the misery of Victor.

Explanation:

The given quote is spoken by the monster in Chapter 24 of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. The whole story deals with the unconventional and complicated relationship between Victor Frankenstein and his created monster.

Victor had created the monster out of his want to excel in his scientific abilities to create life. But once successful, he ignored his creation which led to the bitter relationship between the two. The given quote spoken by the monster reveals his neglected condition which led him to try to get his creator's attention by killing his near ones. The death of Clerval and the others at the hand of the monster reveals how he also wishes for companion and love, which he was devoid of once he was ignored by Victor. The one being who was supposed to be sympathetic and loving to him only turned to him in disgust.

This quote also reveals the monster's true feelings, his want of love and care from his own creator. But neglect turned him into the murderous monster he came to be. Though made to be loved, his life is only lived in misery and hatred for the creator he so longed to get love from.

monument to the heroic ideals of New England life, which are jeopardized in the present just as the statue itself is shaken by urban renewal.Images of black children entering segregated schools reveal how the ideals for which Shaw and his men died were neglected after the Civil War. The poem’s final stanzas return to the aquarium. The poet pictures Shaw riding on a fish’s air bubble, breaking free to the surface, but in fact, the aquarium is abandoned and the only fish are fin-tailed cars. This poem is a brilliant example of Lowell’s ability to link private turmoil to public disturbances. The loss of childhood in the early section of the poem expands to the loss of America’s early ideals, and both are brought together in the last lines to give the poem a public and private intensity. The poem is organized into unrhymed quatrains of uneven length, allowing a measure of flexibility within a formal structure.
