I believe your answer is the first option, 1/2 ft.

*Volume is expressed by length x width x height.

If we multiply the length 5/7 and the height 1 & 1/2 we get 15/14:

*To multiply fractions you must multiply across, multiply the numerator (or top number) by the numerator and the denominator (bottom number) by the denominator.

- Let's turn 1 & 1/2 into a mixed fraction to make things a little easier. 1 & 1/2 also equivalent to 3/2

-Multiply the numerators together, 5 from the 5/7 and now 3 from the 3/2
(5 x 3 = 15)

-Multiply the denominators together, 7 from the 5/7 and 2 from the 3/2
(7 x 2 = 14)

Therefore, 5/7 x 1 & 1/2 is 15/14.

Now what multiplied by 15/14 equals 15/28?

Well... 1 x 15 = 15. That gives us our numerator, 1.

2 x 14 = 28... and we have our denominator 2.

Putting those two together we get a fraction of 1/2. Your width is then 1/2 ft.

I'm so sorry for all the work here! I know it's a lot. I hope it's not too confusing to look at. Hopefully this helps!

Solve A = h (a + b) for b.<br> A. (A-ha)<br> -<br> .<br> (A-a)<br> .<br> (Atha)<br> -
SpyIntel [72]

To solve for b, you need to isolate/get the variable "b" by itself in the equation:

A = h(a + b)       Divide h on both sides

\frac{A}{h}=\frac{h(a +b)}{h}

\frac{A}{h} =a + b      Subtract a on both sides to get "b" by itself

\frac{A}{h}-a=a-a+b

\frac{A}{h} -a=b

Patty is 50 mi. due north of Todd. Emma is due east of Todd. Ifa line were drawn from Emma
zubka84 [21]

Answer:

Correct choice is D

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider right triangle PTE (Patty, Todd, Emma). In thistriangle PT=50 mi - the distanse between Patty and Todd, the distance between Patty and Emma PE and the distance between Emma and Todd ET are unknown. The angle PET has the measure of 40°. Then

  • \sin 40^{\circ}=\dfrac{PT}{PE}\Rightarrow PE=\dfrac{PT}{\sin 40^{\circ}}=\dfrac{50}{\sin 40^{\circ}}\approx 78\ mi.
  • \tan 40^{\circ}=\dfrac{PT}{ET}\Rightarrow ET=\dfrac{PT}{\tan 40^{\circ}}=\dfrac{50}{\tan 40^{\circ}}\approx 60\ mi.

How to do this step by step
Marina CMI [18]

1. 36 = 6·6 and 42 = 6·7 have a common factor of 6.

... x⁴ and x² have a common factor of x²

The GCF is 6x².

The factorization is 36x⁴ -42x² = 6x²(6x² -7)

2. All coefficients are multiples of 4. All variable factors are multiples of x³.

The GCF is 4x³.

The factorization is 4x⁵ -8x⁴ -4x³ = 4x³(x² -2x -1)

3. The GCF of coefficients 6 and 15 is (15 mod 6) = 3, which is also a factor of the other coefficients. The lowest power of m, which is m² is also a factor of the other terms.

The GCF is 3m².

The factorization is 6m⁵ -15m⁴ -21m³ +27m² = 3m²(2m³ -5m² -7m +9)

When a coin was tossed, it came up heads 12 times and tails 8 times.
aniked [119]

Answer: 40% of the time the coin came up tails.

Step-by-step explanation:

The coin is tossed 20 times. Of those 20 times, it came up tails 8 times (8/20). 8/20 = 0.4 = 40%
