What i used is simply a simple strategy. i read aloud and i stop at every punctuation re-read what i just read to make sure i understand. i do this and with time i make sure i understand completely what im reading because doing this can benefit me in the future.

As for me, when I read things in my head I tend to skip over words or detail. But when I read them aloud, I hear those words loud and clear which makes them easier to comprehend what I just read. Saying things aloud also help you to remember.

Which instances of situational irony occur in the passage? Select two options.
Lina20 [59]

The instances of situational irony most likely occurred in the passage in:

 • The aunt expects the boy to accept her explanations, but he does not.
 • The aunt expects the boy to be interested in the cows, but he is not.

Situational irony occurs when the opposite of a particular expected outcome happens.

Although the passage is incomplete, i can infer that the passage you are referring to is from The Storyteller which talks about the conversation between a young boy and his aunt about the movement of sheep to another pasture.

Situational irony is used when the boy refuses to accept his aunt's explanation and also when the boy is uninterested in the cows.
