Miss gallon spent 55% of her savings on a television that cost $550 how much money did she have her savings before she bought th
Salsk061 [2.6K]
I believe that she had $852.50. When you multiply 550 by .55(55%) you get 302.50. This is how much she has left. Now you add that to the 550 to get $852.50

(b) About what percentage of the states (out of 51) seem to have close to 800 licensed drivers per 1000 residents? (Round your a
Rina8888 [55]
This question uses a dotplot graph from which you have to extract the information.

I have attached the dotplot graph in a pdf file. You can open the file to see the graph if you do not have it.

The graph shows with dots (they use this mark +) the 51 states. Every dot means that one state has the number of license drivers per 1000 residents given by the line. For example, you can see that just above the mark of 700 therer are two dots, meaning that two states have 700 licensed drivers per 1000 residents.

Now you can see that there are 5 dots "close" the 800 mark.

That means that 5 out of 51 states "seem to have close to 800 licensed drivers per 1000 residents".

The percentage is calculated as [5/51]*100 = 9.804 %, which rounded to one decimal place is 9.8%.

Answer: 9.8%

For the graphed function f(x) = 4^(x − 1) + 2, calculate the average rate of change from x = 1 to x = 2.
Elden [556K]
f(x) = 4^(x − 1) + 2
f (1)=3 f (2)=6
avarage rate=[ f (1) - f (2)]/(2-1)
=(6-3)/1

Assume that after t hours on the job, a factory worker can produce 100te^-.5t units per hour. How many units does the worker pro
VMariaS [17]
The number of units produced by the worker during t hours of work can be modelled by the following function:

N(t)=100t e^{(-0.5t)}

To find the number of units produced during first 3 hours, we can substitute 3 for t. This will give us the number of units produced by the worker during first 3 hours.

N(3)=100(3) e^{-0.5(3)} = 67

Thus the worker will produce 67 units during the first 3 hours of the work.
