The virus reproduces using the host cells. Two things ultimately take place.

(1) Host cell ends up manufacturing the protein components of the virus as well as the nucleic acid/s of the virus because the latter hijacks the reproductive machinery of the cell and commandeers it for its own ends.

(2) The host cell may either die or survive.

Death of the cell as a direct result of infection by the virus is dependent on the type of virus. Non-enveloped viruses, after replication, usually leave the host cell  rupturing the cell membrane resulting in death of the cell.

On the other hand, enveloped viruses leave the cell after replication by budding through the outer membrane of the host cell. Budding frequently does not damage the host cell and in some instances the cell survives while producing large numbers of budding virus particles.

Which organism is NOT made up of 1or more eukaryotic cells?
nalin [4]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Methanogens are prokaryotes and therefore have prokaryotic cells. They are single-celled archaea. They are found in hypoxic conditions like the first stomach of ruminants where they digest molecules like cellulose and produce methane as a byproduct. The rest are composed of eukaryotic cells which are much larger than prokaryotic cells and their organelles are membrane-bound (unlike prokaryotes).

pochemuha

Answer:

d-stem

Explanation:

Cellulose is most abundant in meristems tissues which are present in the tips of the root and stem and in the cambium between the xylem and the phloem and under the epidermis of the trees and shrubs, therefore it is abundant in the stems.

Meristems are also found in other parts of the plant  but it is mostly abundant in the stems.

Meristems are the cells that are responsible for the cell growth and elongation.

Archaea
