The cheaper trail mix would be the half pound bag. So take the price of the 1/3 bag and times it by 3 that equals $4.50 then check out the 1/2 lb bag and times it by 2 and it would equal $2.30. So you know the half pound bag is cheaper

-1/2x+2=-x+7 help please
Shalnov [3]
The trick is to get the X all alone on one side.  Start by subtracting 2 from both sides.  This wqould give you -1/2X+2-2=-x+7-2 or simplified to -1/2x=-x+5.  Next, add x to both sides to give you -1/2x+x=-x+5+x.  This simplifies to +1/2x=5.  Multiplying by 2 on both sides will get rid of the fraction.  Therefore 2*1/2x=5*2.  This simplifies to your final answer of x=10.

The circumference of a circle is 9π m. What is the area, in square meters? Express your answer in terms of π
Degger [83]

Answer:

20.25\pi\:\mathrm{m^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Formulas to know:

  • Area of a circle: A=r^2\pi
  • Circumference of a circle: C=2r\pi

Since we know the circumference, we can use formula for the circumference of a circle to find the circle's radius:

9\pi=2r\pi,\\9=2r,\\r=4.5

Now we can plug in r=4.5 into the formula for an area of a circle:

A=4.5^2\pi=\boxed{20.25\pi\:\mathrm{m^2}}
