1. In one particular paragraph, Bob Ewell spits on Atticus before saying: "Too proud to fight, you !!!! -loving *?" (Lee, 221). This not only shows his racial intolerance toward those of color, but any who respect African Americans and believe they are deserved of the same rights.

2. Another example of Bob's racism is: "He stood up and pointed his finger at Tom Robinson. '—I seen that black !!!! yonder ruttin’ on my Mayella!" He knows that this event didn't happen, yet he spews lies so as to ostracize and destroy the life of an innocent black man out of pure racial spite.
